PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS

I will never grow out of your childhood - Mel Bailey

“One day you will grow out of wanting to sing and dance to nursery rhymes. The same repetitive songs that make you clap with joy and shout “again! again!” But I will never grow out of seeing the way you laugh and how your eyes shine as I start on my millionth rendition of “if you’re happy and you know it”.

One day you will grow out of wanting to play and explore at the park. The way you shriek with excitement as we walk down the road and you get your first sight of the slide. The way you can swing back and forth forever, never tiring of how different everything looks from higher up. But I will never grow out of watching you run off as fast as your small unsteady legs will carry you, and the way you shout back for me to follow you.

One day you will grow out of all the little figures and houses that you bring to life with your imagination. The funny stories that you make up and the characters you create. But I will never grow out of listening to your continuous chatter, the adventures you dream up and the beautiful, innocent way you see the world.

One day you will grow out of your pretty princess dresses. The way you twirl around the house, singing songs and acting out scenes from your favourite films. But I will never grow out of seeing you light up as you come down the stairs wearing your favourite gown, and I can tell by your face that you’ve never felt more beautiful.

One day you will grow up, leaving the childhood adventures that we have shared behind you. This is part of life and I cannot wait to see how you will light up the world, continue to celebrate everything you will become, and embracing your new adventures and chapters, only this time without me constantly by your side as your wingman.

But I want you to know that I will never grow out of your childhood. I will never grow out of sharing those adventures with you over and over again. So I will try to cherish everything that we share together right now. I want to pack several lifetimes of fun into your childhood so one day when you are all grown up and look back on these days, they light up your heart, just like they do mine.
